Integration of High-Definition simultaneous EEG and fNIRS recording system

چکیده :
The integration of functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) and Electroencephalography (EEG) provides a comprehensive view of brain activity. fNIRS, a potent tool for monitoring hemodynamic of body tissues, especially cortical surface hemodynamic, is paired with EEG, a method for recording the brain’s electrical activity. This combination offers a detailed brain image with minimal disruption. In this study, we utilized a multimodal brain monitoring device to simultaneously capture data from 16-channel EEG and 19-channel fNIRS. We conducted various tasks including cold pressor, arterial occlusion, and breath-holding for fNIRS, along with sleep phases for EEG. The results obtained were consistent with previous research in this field, validating the effective operation of our device’s EEG and fNIRS components.
