Abstract :
Abstract Background/Objective- Colon cancer biomarkers can be precisely and early detected with nanobiosensors operating at the nanoscale. This review provides a concise overview of recent advancements in nanobiosensor applications for colon cancer diagnosis. Methods- In this study, a comprehensive literature review was carried out, emphasizing studies involving nanobiosensors designed to track specific colon cancer biomarkers. Moreover, nanobiosensors' sensitivity and specificity are prioritized in the analysis, as well as their fabrication techniques and performance metrics. Results- The sensitivity and specificity of nanobiosensors were significantly improved when used to detect colon cancer biomarkers, such as carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and microRNA. As a result of this improvement in accuracy, more reliable diagnostic results can be achieved. Specific colon cancer biomarkers could be rapidly identified using nanobiosensor platforms. It facilitates timely intervention and improves the prognosis for patients through accelerated detection. The studies examined different kinds of nanobiosensors, including quantum dots, graphene-based sensors, and nanowire arrays. The diversity of biomarkers associated with colon cancer underscores the versatility of nanobiosensors, which allows customization to meet the specific needs of each biomarker. Conclusion- Biomarkers identified by nanobiosensors can be detected rapidly and with high sensitivity, which bodes well for colon cancer diagnostics. Achieving timely interventions and improving patient outcomes depends greatly on early detection.
