Securing Healthcare Data with Blockchain and AES Encryption: A High-Performance Approach to Data Integrity, Confidentiality, and Availability

Abstract :
Blockchain's decentralization, security, and transparency make it capable of revolutionizing many industries, particularly healthcare. Our proposed system leverages the inherent features of blockchain. Establish a tamper-resistant and transparent framework for storing medical records. Each patient is uniquely identified and assigned an individualized ID number as a secure password to access and manage their medical records. The topic explains an efficient approach to ensuring the security of a patient’s information through the adoption of blockchain with AES encryption. This proposed system includes features that make it safe to handle sensitive healthcare information, including data integrity, confidentiality, and availability. The used strategy entails acquiring data in the form of CSV then proceeding to encrypt the data using AES then placing it in the blockchain. The blockchain structure ensures the integrity of patient records and their secure sharing and sharing with the help of the POW algorithm. This paper studies the trade-off between security and processing and the results of the study show that the AES algorithm is faster in encryption than the RSA algorithm used in related research.
